Make the move to Movie Club

Among the other of dozens of newly formed clubs at Central, senior Julien Sheets created the Movie Circle as a platform to join movie lovers alike to watch and talk about films, and also make them. When I was first told about this club, I thought it would be a club where we would watch movies and discuss them, or talk about movies and directors we like. Instead, it’s main purpose is for writers, artists, and actors to come together and pool their ideas and talents together to make a movie, whether it is just a short film or maybe even an animation film. The great part is that there is a role for anyone. If you are a writer, you can write a script. If you are good at being a leader, you can be a director. If you’re good at building things or hands on activities, you can build sets or props. Even if you don’t think you’re good at any of these things, ideas are always appreciated. It's a loose, free-form club, so there are no strict deadlines or pressure to hurry up and make and finish something; however, at the end of the year, if there are enough films, the Movie Circle might hold a Central Film Festival.. Even if you only want to hold a club movie after school one day, stop on by during C rotation in Coach Burns’ room 201.
